The National Theatre is one of the most iconic structures on London’s South Bank. A fine example of Brutalist architecture that is loved and hated in equal measure. It houses a theatre, shop, cafe/restaurant and also has a wellbeing garden on the Riverside Terrace.

Designed by architects Sir Denys Lasdun and Peter Softly and completed/opened in 1977. It officially became known as The Royal National Theatre in 1988 and was given grade ll listed status in 1994.
